ASTRONOMY

Now the telescope is fully controlled from the house and can be also controlled with a Team Viewer connection everywhere on Internet. It's also possible to check the movements with an infrared camera.

HAMRADIO

Take a look to the pages of the Gateway D-STAR IR0UCA and IR0UGN. You will learn how they works, and how is possible to have a D-STAR gateway completely homemade. You will see that they're also connected to the ircDDB Network, an amateur radio network for exchanging routing information. At last you will see that IR0UCA is also an hybrid MotoTRBO repeater linked to the worlds D-Star and Echolink. With ircDDB-Italia we have started a STARnet Digital group to test the new functionalities of ircDDB.

Finally IR0UCA is active also in APRS. It is a double-port I-gate and I'm using UI-View and AGWPE connected to a TM-D700 and a TNC PK-88. Take a look to the page dedicated to the APRS to see my setup.

Dopo un anno di attività, IrcDDB-Italia sta facendo passi da gigante.
Il 26 e 27 novembre 2011 tutto il Team è stato presente alla fiera del Radioamatore di Pescara e ha presenziato a due "tavole rotonde" sul D-STAR. Una, il sabato, dedicata ai principianti ed una, la domenica, dedicata ai Sysop in cui si sono discusse le basi per lo sviluppo futuro del D-STAR in Italia.
 

Thanks to my brother Marco IW2OHX that gives to me a VPN connection to his gateway, I'm back on-line on AMPRNet/HamNet with the address 44.134.14.9/iz0qwm.ampr.org.

E' stato configurato il Gateway ampr.org di ircDDB Italia: 44.134.0.1/ampr-italy-gw.ampr.org affinchè si possano collegare via VPN, non solo radioamatori o ripetitori per erogare servizi su rete 44, ma anche radioamatori in dhcp.

METEOROLOGY

• One new project has started: the construction of a thermopile Cloud Coverage Detector
• I decided to put off line the VLF Lightning Radar because it's affected by a noise received on the N-S antenna. I don't have the same problem on the TOA receiver.
